Of all the cards we send, birthday cards travel the furthest emotional distance. They mark the simple, uncomplicated fact that someone we love made it through another year — and they ask nothing in return except attention. The CardVerse birthday collection covers every relationship (mother, father, sibling, partner, coworker, best friend) and every milestone age (first, sweet sixteen, eighteenth, twenty-first, thirtieth and on through the centenarian century mark). Each card pairs a short identifier with five distinct verses, written to be warm without being saccharine, specific without being awkward, and just personal enough to feel hand-chosen rather than mass-produced. Print one on cardstock, sign your name, and you’re done.

If you’re writing for someone whose birthday lands on a complicated year — the first since a loss, the first after a big move, the one nobody’s sure how to celebrate — we’ve included quieter options too. Look for the gentler verses near the bottom of each card’s list. They tend to age well.
